At TensorWave, we’re leading the charge in AI compute, building a versatile cloud platform that’s driving the next generation of AI innovation. We’re focused on creating a foundation that empowers cutting-edge advancements in intelligent computing, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the AI landscape.
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Design Engineer with expertise in 3D modeling to support the planning and visualization of complex data center infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate 3D models of electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems to support design reviews, clash detection, spatial planning, and construction coordination.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams—including architects, engineers, construction managers, and facility operations—to transform conceptual designs into precise 3D representations that drive efficient, scalable, and reliable data center environments. Your models will serve as a critical tool for evaluating system integration, optimizing layouts, and facilitating stakeholder alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high-fidelity 3D models of data center infrastructure using tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or BIM 360.
Translate 2D designs, engineering drawings, and specifications into coordinated 3D models for planning and construction.
Perform clash detection, spatial analysis, and design validation to ensure system compatibility and avoid construction conflicts.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and architectural teams to ensure accurate system representation.
Support design reviews, walkthroughs, and presentations with 3D visualizations and animations as needed.
Contribute to the development of data center design standards and modeling templates.
Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to integrate their designs into the overall model.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
3–5+ years of experience in 3D modeling or BIM coordination, preferably in mission-critical or data center environments.
Proficiency with 3D modeling software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP, BIM 360).
Strong understanding of MEP systems, structural coordination, and space planning in high-density environments.
Experience with clash detection, model optimization, and interdisciplinary coordination.
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
What We Bring:
In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a variety of benefits to support your needs, including:
Stock Options
100% paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
