Responsibilities
- Lead transformation of the station's visual product and production strategy across platforms using independent judgment
- Serve as technical lead for daily news production and operations, assigning production tasks and ensuring seamless broadcasts
- Plan and oversee technical requirements for special events and breaking news coverage
- Collaborate with engineering to optimize streaming systems and production workflows
- Develop, implement and manage standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and quality
- Direct camera angles, lighting, set arrangements and live show composition
- Foster communication and coordination between newsroom, marketing, sales and engineering
- Lead and manage continuous live coverage of breaking news and community events
- Use data analytics to shape content and increase audience engagement
- Innovate show design and storytelling, pilot new approaches with supervisory guidance
Education
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field preferred
- Equivalent experience in broadcast production accepted
