Responsibilities
- React quickly to breaking news and communicate plans to staff
- Assist with story planning and identifying coverage opportunities
- Provide editorial guidance and manage logistics for daily newsroom content
- Use social media platforms to identify news stories
- Search and distribute criminal and civil document data to producers
- Produce unique, local, and engaging content
- Perform digital producing during major breaking news events
- Support newsroom operations and coverage planning
- Collaborate with MSJs, producers, photographers, and digital teams
Education
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field or equivalent experience
