We are seeking an mid level versatile and detail - oriented Software Test Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for the development lifecycle to test, validate, and enhance our integrated systems as well as provide detailed technical feedback to the engineering team regarding the development of UI, OS, and Android applications. An average day as a Test Engineer at TAG will see you handling some combination of the tasks below:
1. This role will own the testing and documentation process of the integration and design of software components, which entails the following:
a. Design and perform functional, smoke, regression, performance, and stress tests for software components and integrated hardware components.
b. Write and maintain test procedure and documentation to meet system requirements.
c. Record performance metrics and present feedback to TAG engineering staff and partners.
d. Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and provide actionable insights to enhance product performance and reliability.
e. Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, follow best practices for integrated systems, and assist with the design of new hardware and software components.
f. Guide engineering team in problem solving, documentation of issues, and best software testing practices.
2. Supporting the customer, which entails the following:
a. Identify and solve standard technical issues related to hardware, firmware, software, and data communications and receive guidance on complex problems from the customer. Is able to move forward independently but seeks direction when necessary.
b. Write and maintain customer support documentations and instruction manuals.
c. Act as a representative and point of contact for TAG by providing remote technical support for users and customers.
d. Occasional travel to user demonstrations and events.
