The Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities (SRR) oversees the student conduct system, student CARE, and prevention programming. Under the direction of SRR leadership, the Coordinator serves as a primary case manager and investigator for alleged violations of the Code of Student Conduct. This position advises students on their rights and responsibilities, recommends appropriate sanctions, and leads educational programming that maintains community standards and supports student learning and growth.
Salary: $46,000
Responsibilities:
Student Conduct Case Management:
Investigates and coordinates student conduct cases, ensuring timely, and fair resolution.
Monitors student compliance with disciplinary sanctions.
Manages both academic and non-academic conduct cases.
Maintains comprehensive and accurate documentation in the university’s conduct database (Maxient).
Programming & Education:
Designs, implements, and evaluates educational programs and resource materials related to student conduct and prevention.
Develops and delivers training for students, faculty, and staff on conduct policies, ethics, and community standards.
Write and designs publications, outreach content, and marketing materials supporting the work of SRR.
Assessment & Reporting:
Creates and maintains assessment plans to measure student learning outcomes.
Evaluates programs and recommends improvements.
Assists with compiling reports, data, and statistics.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Supervises and trains student employees.
Collaborates with campus and community partners to support student development and community well-being.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree.
One (1) or more years of experience in student affairs work or related specialty with a bachelor's degree.
Preferred Education and Experience:
At least one year of experience coordinating or administering student conduct processes within a college or university setting.
Experience developing and delivering educational or training programs.
Experience advising or working with student organizations.
Mediation training and/or professional mediation certification.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student development and integrative learning.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with campus stakeholders.
Working knowledge of best practices in student conduct administration.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA.
Strong ethical foundations and the ability to build collaborative partnerships across campus and the community.
