Construction Estimator

Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Estimating Scopes:
- Earthwork
- Roadway
- Utilities (waterline, storm, and sanitary sewer)
- Concrete Flatwork
- Concrete Structures
- Deep Foundations
- Conduct takeoffs and quantity surveys to determine the necessary materials and labor for construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather information on project requirements.
- Research and analyze market conditions to determine competitive pricing for materials and labor.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients and maintain communication throughout the bidding process.
- Monitor project budgets and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, changes, and correspondence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, construction techniques, and materials.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
- Proficient with Bluebeam Revu
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
