Social Media & Community Manager

About the Role

We’re looking for a creative and proactive Social Media & Community Manager to energize and grow our student community across platforms like Discord, Reddit, Instagram, and X (Twitter). In this role, you’ll be the voice of StudyFetch; connecting with users, moderating conversations, responding to comments, and fostering a sense of belonging around the product. You’ll collaborate closely with Marketing to drive engagement, support campaigns, and turn students into loyal advocates of StudyFetch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and moderate our Discord, Reddit, Instagram, X, and other social channels

  • Respond to DMs, mentions, and comments across platforms to support users and build community

  • See engaging conversations and spotlight student voices across all community spaces

  • Develop and execute light virtual event programming (AMAs, study jams, student panels, etc.)

  • Collaborate with Marketing to amplify product launches and creator campaigns within community channels

  • Draft social-ready content and conversation prompts that spark energy and resonate with students

  • Surface community feedback and insights to inform Product and Marketing teams

  • Track key metrics (engagement rate, sentiment, retention, member growth) and iterate based on performance

  • Build partnerships with student communities and networks to co-host events or cross-promote content

What We’re Looking For

  • 2-4 years of experience in social media & community management

  • Familiarity with Gen Z culture, memes, and what makes online communities tick

  • Proven success managing and growing engagement on Discord, Reddit, and/or Instagram

  • Strong written communication skills and a clear, compelling online voice

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple channels and initiatives at once

  • Comfortable running lightweight virtual events and engaging with users live

  • Bonus: Experience working with creators or UGC communities

What We Offer

  • $69,000 - $80,000 Base Salary
