- Proven experience leading backend, platform, and infrastructure teams at scale.
- Deep technical knowledge of cloud-native systems (GCP preferred), Kubernetes, and Go.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems that process massive telemetry and artifact data.
- Practical application of AI/ML to product features, detection logic, and developer productivity.
- Strong execution, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Drive execution across core platform, infrastructure, detection pipelines, artifact ingestion, and customer integrations.
- Translate product direction and threat research into system architecture, engineering plans, and delivered software.
- Design and evolve system architecture to support petabyte-scale data, real-time analysis, and continuous reprocessing.
- Build and scale a high-performance engineering organization: hire, set standards, and define career expectations.
- Partner closely with CTO, Threat Research, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to align technical and product strategy.
- Champion engineering quality: secure-by-default design, code review culture, automated testing, and reliable releases.
- Make tradeoffs between short-term delivery and long-term architecture, communicating rationale to stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in relevant fields is a plus but not required.
