Skills
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s program in engineering, physics, or math by start of employment
- Minimum 3+ months applied engineering experience (internship, lab, team/personal projects)
- U.S. work-eligibility per ITAR (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative, dynamic engineering teams
- Ability to commit to full-time onsite work for at least 12 consecutive weeks
- For certain sites, ability to provide own transportation
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a mentor and engineering team to design, test, and iterate on components or systems.
- Apply classroom knowledge to real engineering tasks including analysis, prototyping, manufacturing support, and test execution.
- Participate in integration and test activities, data collection, and troubleshooting.
- Work with technicians, other engineers, and managers in cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
- Document work, communicate progress in team meetings, and present results to stakeholders.
- Follow safety, quality, and program-specific procedures during hands-on work.
- Attend optional professional development sessions and networking events offered to interns.
- Fulfill onsite, full-time commitment for a minimum 12 consecutive weeks during May/June start window.
Education
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or mathematics
- Must remain enrolled through the start of the internship/co-op term
