Responsibilities
- Perform supplier analysis and develop strategic sourcing plans to identify and qualify suppliers and optimize cost and continuity of supply
- Implement supplier stratification and a supplier management playbook, including scorecards and KPI reporting
- Evaluate supplier technical capability, capacity, and quality to support NPI and full-rate production
- Lead initiatives to improve supplier quality, cost, delivery, lead times, and risk/compliance
- Negotiate and administer moderate to large contracts covering pricing, scope, liability, IP, and export compliance
- Issue purchase orders and maintain accurate master data in MRP/ERP systems
- Partner with engineering and quality to drive issue resolution, alternate component qualification, and design-for-supply decisions
- Provide guidance to buyers/planners and represent supply base health at director/executive levels
- Source connectors, components, and cable/harness assemblies and maintain distributor/manufacturer relationships
- Coordinate alignment between product designs and supplier technology roadmaps
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or related field preferred
- Equivalent experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations accepted
