Skills
- 4+ years writing technical documentation for cloud-native, Kubernetes, APIs, or developer tools.
- Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly for developer audiences.
- Hands-on experience testing product features, APIs, CLIs, and reproducing workflows.
- Proficiency with docs-as-code tools: Markdown, Git, CI/CD publishing pipelines, and static site generators (Hugo).
- Familiarity with YAML and basic scripting (Python, Go, or similar).
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering and product teams.
- Comfortable evaluating and adopting AI-assisted documentation workflows.
Responsibilities
- Plan, write, and maintain customer-centric docs including step-by-step guides, API/CLI/GUI references, Helm and other deployment docs.
- Manage multiple documentation projects and release-driven content updates in a docs-as-code environment.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, customer success, and field teams to gather technical details and validate use cases.
- Test product features, APIs, CLIs, and workflows to reproduce procedures and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Champion docs-as-code practices and integrate documentation into development and release workflows.
- Participate in peer reviews and contribute to documentation tooling, processes, and standards.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Ongoing learning in cloud-native technologies, documentation tooling, or developer experience best practices.
