We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the development of our Snap! products, focusing on both frontend and backend systems while fostering a high-performing team culture. This remote, full-time role emphasizes technical leadership and collaboration within a dynamic engineering environment.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include designing and delivering production code, providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
Skills: The ideal candidate should have expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL APIs, and experience with CI/CD practices, alongside strong leadership and communication skills.
Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of software development experience, 3+ years utilizing Jira, and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, with an Associates degree or equivalent experience.
Location: This position is fully remote within the United States.
Compensation: $140000 - $150000 / Annually

Our applications are built primarily using Node.js, TypeScript (Vue.js), and Postgres, with some legacy systems on Ruby on Rails, Python, and MySQL (RDS). The Engineering Manager will help build out our vision through the development and ownership of our frontend and backend systems for our Snap! products. 50% of the time is dedicated to designing, coding, reviewing, and deploying core product features to improve our customer experience and technical foundation. 30% of the time is dedicated to planning, documenting, and aligning priorities across product, design, and engineering teams. 20% of the time is dedicated to mentoring engineers, removing blockers, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
