Job Description:
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing clinical support in a busy family medicine office. The ideal candidate will have experience working in family medicine and be comfortable assisting with a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient intake, including taking medical histories, measuring vital signs, and preparing patients for exams.
  • Administer immunizations and injections as directed by the physician.
  • Perform routine lab tests and handle patient samples.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Prepare and maintain medical exam rooms.
  • Assist providers during patient exams and procedures.
  • Provide patient education and answer basic medical questions.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow.
  • Manage and order medical supplies as needed.
  • Handle administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a family medicine or primary care setting.
  • Certification in Medical Assisting (CMA, RMA, or similar) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, and EHR systems. Cerner experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
