Who We Are
Shae Group is an AI-first global technology and services organization delivering precision AI systems across healthcare, wellbeing, education, and enterprise domains. We operate with speed and discipline, prioritizing safe deployment, operational reliability, and expert-led decision frameworks. Our goal is to combine strategic judgement with applied AI tools to drive meaningful product outcomes.
Who You Are
You are a senior technical executive — CTO, Head of AI, or Principal/Distinguished Engineer — who excels in guiding AI product direction and high-stakes architectural decisions. You bring depth in AI deployment at scale, offer crisp, actionable guidance, and communicate with clarity. You can zoom out to strategy and zoom into technical details, producing artifacts that help leaders move quickly and safely.
Responsibilities
• Host monthly strategy sessions, red-team/design reviews, and architecture assessments; deliver ADRs, safety/eval audits, and threat models.
• Create high-value artifacts including reference designs, governance frameworks, vendor selection tools, and build/buy/partner recommendations.
• Provide async support for critical product or model decisions and maintain contributions to an internal knowledge base of reviewed ADRs and technical outputs.
• Guide decisions around model reliability, eval methodology, cost/latency balancing, monitoring guardrails, and retraining strategies.
Must-have qualifications
• 10+ years in senior engineering or AI leadership (CTO, Head of AI, Distinguished Engineer) with hands-on experience deploying production AI/ML at scale.
• Proven background in systems architecture, LLM/agent development, eval/safety frameworks, or threat modeling.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with a portfolio of decision-oriented artifacts (ADRs, diagrams, audit results, etc.).
Nice-to-have
• Experience in regulated healthcare or clinical AI (privacy frameworks, DPIA, compliance, audit requirements).
• Prior advisory, fractional, consulting, or board-level support experience for engineering or AI teams.
Compensation
Hourly: USD $50 - $250/hr per hour depending on specialty and seniority
Engagement term: Typically 6–12 months with flexible scope and deliverables.
Payment & contractor terms
Independent Contractor status only. Payment in USD via Wise or bank direct deposit. Hourly invoicing. No employee benefits.
How to apply
• Submit two artifacts you authored (ADR, design deck, audit, or similar) plus a short Loom explaining an AI decision you shaped and the measurable impact it produced.
• A 16mins self-initiated ai-video interview and personality profile survey result must be submitted.
• Selected candidates will join a short design review clinic and onboarding discussion.
Closing note
Join a curated council of senior experts influencing major AI architecture decisions. We prioritize clear thinking, high-impact guidance, and rapid decision cycles — please apply with artifacts and a concise Loom.
