At ServiceNow, an Industry Vertical QE focuses on testing and ensuring the quality of software specifically designed for different industry sectors, like healthcare, finance, retail, or manufacturing, by verifying that the ServiceNow platform functions correctly when tailored to the unique needs and workflows of each industry vertical essentially, they make sure the industry-specific features and functionalities within ServiceNow are working as intended for different business domains. You will be a key player on our Industry Vertical Quality Engineering team at ServiceNow, where you'll ensure the seamless performance and reliability of cutting-edge solutions that empower businesses worldwide to work smarter and achieve more.

What you get to do in this role:   

• Maintain existing automation test frameworks
• Collect and report quality metrics from test execution
• Work with developers to design specific testing strategies for features being developed and automate them
• Create comprehensive test plans; execute and automate them
• Partner with the engineering organizations in troubleshooting or addressing issues with applications and dev/test environments

To be successful in this role you have:

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
• 5+ years of experience with quality assurance and Java programming with Selenium, JUnit and TestNG
• 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Fluency with scripting in JavaScript. Experience with Eclipse, Jenkin, Maven, and Git
• Knowledge of testing techniques (e.g. performance, unit, integration, automated), their strengths and weakness, and ability to use them to best effect
• Ability to use tools (such as IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/Unix tools) to assist with daily tasks
• Experience driving cross-team technical discussions with a knowledge of SDLC concept

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $125,300 - $213,100, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
