Risk Control/Occupational Safety Internship Summer 2026
What You’ll Do
Risk Control/Occupational Safety interns will work with experienced safety consultants across multiple business units at Sentry. Interns will assist with conducting safety consultations in various manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and dealership markets. They will help inspect facilities, prepare technical reports, and develop recommendations to help customers control safety exposures. Interns will also gain exposure to evaluating insurance line of business risk including property, workers compensation, liability, auto, and others. Interns will learn how to interact with sales associates and consult with our customers on the principles that will keep their workplace safe.
What it Takes
To be considered for this position, the following criteria are necessary:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
- Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.00
- Graduating in December 2026 or May 2027
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere
- Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
- Clear MVR and background check
