About the Role
We’re looking for a Growth Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact team responsible for driving Scribe’s core product growth metrics, including activation, conversion, and retention. In this role, you’ll oversee the planning, building, and delivery of growth experiments, onboarding flows, and in-product self-service billing. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners in Product, Design, Marketing, and Engineering leadership to execute on a growth roadmap that directly impacts Scribe’s bottom line. This role reports to our Head of Engineering and is based in San Francisco, CA.
What you’ll do
Lead and grow a team of 5+ engineers, providing day-to-day management, coaching, and career development.
Drive velocity of growth experimentation and own key systems like onboarding and self-service billing flows.
Partner with Product, Design, and Marketing to align growth initiatives and deliver measurable impact.
Establish an experimentation culture: set up, run, and analyze A/B tests that directly influence activation, conversion, and retention.
Build scalable operating models as the team expands, potentially growing into oversight of multiple subteams (e.g., billing and growth).
You could be a great fit if
You’re excited by the idea of building a “growth lab” inside a hypergrowth company. You believe in experimentation as the engine of learning and impact, and you thrive on helping engineers become independent “growth scientists” who can take an idea from concept to shipped experiment. You’ll find this role rewarding if you enjoy working cross-functionally, want to leave your fingerprints on core company metrics, and care about leading with kindness while pushing for high performance.
Qualifications
Proven experience leading engineering teams, ideally in a high-growth SaaS or consumer technology company.
Strong background in A/B testing, experimentation, and growth-focused engineering.
Experience managing and scaling teams, with a passion for mentorship and career development.
Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on problem-solving.
High sense of urgency, customer focus, and collaborative mindset.
