About the Job:

The Finance & Risk Management Department is seeking a dynamic Senior Financial Analyst to perform complex financial analyses and support strategic decision-making across the Airport Authority. This role is responsible for developing, monitoring, and analyzing operating budgets, building financial models, and ensuring the accuracy of financial forecasts.

As a trusted partner in a collaborative environment, this position works closely with departments across the organization to interpret data, forecast trends, and provide insights that guide key business decisions. The Senior Financial Analyst will also collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to identify opportunities for automation, streamline reporting, and enhance data-driven processes that strengthen how the Airport Authority plans for the future.

The ideal candidate brings a foundational understanding of rate-setting concepts and a desire to deepen their knowledge of airport finance—including how rates, charges, and fees are structured in a unique regulatory environment. Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or similar financial planning software is strongly preferred. This is a dynamic opportunity to join a team where analysis meets innovation and your work directly supports the financial health and strategic direction of the Airport Authority.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct Financial Modeling: Perform complex financial analyses, including revenue forecasting, cost allocations, and feasibility studies, using advanced financial models in Excel.
  • Monitor Financial Performance: Track and analyze actual performance against budgets, providing detailed reports and insights to stakeholders using Excel.
  • Leverage Technology: Utilize Workday Adaptive Planning and other financial software to streamline financial processes and improve decision-making.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Work collaborative with Airport Authority departments, tenants, service providers and stakeholders to gather data, develop financial strategies, and ensure compliance.
  • Provide Strategic Insights: Offer guidance on financial planning and analysis to support the organization's strategic initiatives.
  • Support Rate Setting: Develop and refine rates and fees, ensuring they align with financial goals and regulatory requirements.

The Skills We Are Looking For:

  1. Relationship Management: Ability to work with others to benefit the organizational business objectives and goals.
  2. Critical Evaluation: Ability to analyze and define a problem, evaluate alternative solutions, and identify an optimal solution; listens and clarifies information as needed.
  3. Agility: Readily adapts behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.
  4. Communication: Effectively exchange information with stakeholders through various avenues, including but not limited to verbal, written, facilitation, and persuasion.
  5. Leveraging Technology: Proficient in computer systems, Excel and MS Office Suite, ERP, or other financial software.
  6. Ethical Conduct & Integrity: Ability to perform work responsibilities with honesty and consistency.

About the Team:

Behind every flight, project, and new idea at the Airport Authority is a team making sure the numbers add up. The Finance & Risk Management Department ensures the organization’s purpose and strategic plan are grounded in sound analysis and thoughtful financial planning. As the force behind the Authority’s annual budget—an extensive financial roadmap presented to the Board each summer—this team turns complex data into clear, actionable insights. Beyond the numbers, they’re trusted advisors and business partners to divisions across the Authority, helping shape decisions that keep the airport moving forward. Joining this team means contributing to work that transforms financial analysis into real-world impact for one of the region’s most dynamic public agencies.

What We Are Looking For***:

  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in budgeting, financial analysis or professional accounting; and/or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in public or business administration, finance, accounting or a related field.

Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience using Workday Adaptive Planning for financial modeling, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
  • Experience in developing and implementing rate-setting strategies, including cost analysis and revenue forecasting.
  • Experience working in a governmental, public agency, or airline environment highly desired.
