Job Description:

Build your resume and enhance your marketability with real-world, hands-on experience! Saab’s Training and Simulation division is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Engineering students interested in applying their academic knowledge to practical product development through a paid Co-Op/Internship opportunity. Saab is currently looking for one Software Engineering Co-Op for Spring (January - April) and Summer (May - August) 2026.

Under the guidance of Senior Engineers, Software Engineering Co-Ops will:

• Actively contribute to the development of web-based applications that support data engineering models.

• Collaborate with senior software engineers to design and develop modular, configurable software for use across multiple programs.

• Participate in internal technical meetings and design reviews.

• Coordinate with the software lead to plan and schedule individual tasks and own activities.

• Collaborate with the software lead on task planning and scheduling of assigned activities.

Compensation Range: $20 - $22/hour

In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. provides a sign-on bonus to help offset housing expenses for Co-Ops who live outside the typical office commuting distance.

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Qualifications:

• Enrollment in an accredited degree program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline.

• Completion of Sophomore year or above.

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in web development using React, Typescript, Python, and SQL.

• Prior Co-Op or internship experience preferred, but not required.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
