Senior Front End Developer

Rockstar is recruiting for the leading Open Source Intelligence Collection software platform, providing the top solution in digital investigations. Through its SaaS platforms, Horizon and SocialNet, the client provides open source intelligence collection software, unique datasets, and training to allow the freedom to focus on the investigation, not the time-consuming tasks of managing data. As the company continues to grow and expand, it is seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Developer to join its dynamic team. The company has offices in Birmingham, AL and is also open to remote work with occasional travel.

Position Overview

The client is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Front-End Developer with expertise in React to join its team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for building intuitive, scalable, and high-performing web applications.

The candidate will be part of the front-end development team working on web and mobile applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and user-friendly front-end applications using React.

- Lead the design and implementation of reusable, modular components and front-end architectures.

- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into high-quality code.

- Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues efficiently, ensuring high quality and responsiveness.

- Mentor and guide junior developers, conducting code reviews and sharing best practices.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in front-end development and React ecosystem.

- Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and services seamlessly.

Requirements

- Strong proficiency in React, including hooks, context API, and state management libraries like Redux Toolkit.

- Solid understanding of TypeScript/JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.

- Experience with front-end build tools such as Webpack and Vite.

- Familiarity with UI libraries like Material-UI. Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git.

- Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with front-end applications.

- Experience with performance optimization tools and techniques.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with TypeScript.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Knowledge of GraphQL.
