Senior Tax Accountant
Skills
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Experience with tax preparation and accounting software
- Proficiency using ERP systems such as NetSuite or Oracle
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
- Experience preparing ASC 740 tax provisions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work EST or CST hours and manage multiple deadlines
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns and sales/use tax and VAT filings
- Support quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision calculations and disclosures
- Analyze taxability and stay current with tax law changes impacting the business
- Maintain and update tax records, documentation, and supporting schedules
- Research complex tax issues and provide guidance on business transactions
- Assist with tax audit responses and communications with tax authorities
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, legal, internal and external auditors on tax matters
- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase tax function efficiency
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- CPA or MBA preferred but not required
