Job Description Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist the Film Technician in and oversee the checkout and check-in of the film equipment in the equipment room at Stage 41. Organize and maintain the inventory of the film equipment; to include, but not limited to cameras, lights, grip, and sound equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with routine tasks in an office, classroom and department as assigned.

• Must organize and update inventory, check the condition of department equipment and supplies, note if any equipment is in need of repair to include, but not limited to; cameras, lights, grip and sound equipment and supplies.

• Required to attend all crew clinics and bootcamps.

• Must communicate with the Film Technician regarding missing or damaged equipment.

• Required to fill out missing/damage reports accurately and turn completed reports into the Film Technician and/or department head in a timely manner.

• Must work in coordination with the student filmmakers, faculty, and other student workers and perform other job duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must be enrolled as a student of Ringling College of Art and Design and may require federal work-study eligibility.

• Must be well versed in the RED cameras and accessories, grip equipment, sound and lighting equipment.

• Must be dependable, able work as scheduled, and work with general supervision.

• Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with staff, faculty and other students in a courteous and professional manner.

• Must complete office/classroom/departmental tasks as assigned in a timely manner.

• Must be a Film student in good Academic standing
