Responsibilities

Your Role:

 

The Marketing Specialist supports marketing activities for the Presto Specialty business product brands including Fresh-lock® slider and press to close zippers, Geo Systems soil stabilization products, and Specialty Films product lines. This role will focus on implementation of the marketing strategy for the Specialty business. Reporting to and working with the Director, Business Development and Sustainability, the individual will provide key support for sales and marketing tools and services needed for sales team success, and market impact.  This position also supports the Commercial group assisting with PowerPoint optimization, sales support and promotional materials management, and sample & mockup creation to drive profitable growth of the Presto Specialty business.

  • Collaborate with marketing agency to drive social media activity, developing and posting messages and images on Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, blogs and other social media platforms.  Research and incorporate social media trends into plans as appropriate.
  • Track and manage Google AdWords campaigns and analytic metrics with third party agency to determine trends, improvements to programs, and keyword focus for SEO value.  Monitor websites and YouTube analytics and make appropriate recommendations to improve visibility and market penetration.
  • Execute tactical marketing activities including managing department e-mail blast program, creating content, developing layout, and maintaining segmented lists for customers by application or vertical markets, and monitoring metrics. Collaborate with business unit team members for message, theme and distribution schedule.
  • Coordinate with marketing agency to ensure website messaging is consistent with program goals.  Direct and manage website inquiries with sales team.
  • Participate and engage with customer facing teams to support marketing related activities, product launches, and co-sponsored promotions.
  • Support and manage tradeshow activities, and coordinating external agency services as needed for design, presentations, and promotions. Manage planning, product support, and scheduling with sales. Coordinate shipping of booth graphics, literature and other show materials, and lead distribution.  Represent the business and ensure we are participating in most relevant tradeshows.
  • Maintain department databases, spreadsheets and photo libraries as required.  Maintain inventory of all marketing literature, binders, samples and promotional materials.
  • Support Director of Business Development and Sustainability to manage marketing expenses, log invoices, track to budget and maintain vendor balances, rectify discrepancies, and assure payments are made in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with creation and modification of PowerPoint presentations for sales and business development team as required.

Qualifications

We need you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, design or an equivalent combination of education and sales/marketing experience required.
  • 1-2 years in a sales and marketing environment.
  • Experience with social media and digital platforms, with online sales and e-commerce.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook and Access, with desktop publishing experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills.
  • Exercise sound judgment with the ability to take calculated risks and make risk/return recommendations.
  • Ability to be discreet with confidential information.
  • Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis.
