Resource Innovations is seeking a Commercial Energy Efficiency Market Engagement Lead to join our growing team in California. As a Commercial Energy Efficiency Market Engagement Lead with Resource Innovations, you will support our large commercial energy efficiency programs in California.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving engagement initiatives, fostering strategic partnerships, and ensuring the successful implementation of energy efficiency measures within the healthcare, high tech, bio-tech and private school/college sectors. This position will provide market engagement support for a new energy efficiency program in and around the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area in California. The ideal candidate will reside in or around the greater Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, but other California-based remote locations will be considered. Some same day and/or overnight travel would be anticipated for customer meetings and client or program partner engagement.

The ideal candidate possesses the right mix of organization, verbal and written communication skills, technical ability, and interpersonal skills to succeed in this position. In this role, you will collaborate with an existing project delivery team identifying and implementing energy efficiency projects with commercial customers, engage trade allies and program partners, drive participation, interface with utility clients and maximize energy savings to achieve program goals. Through consistent engagement with project developers both internal and external to RI, this role will seek to ensure balanced programmatic efforts amongst underrepresented areas or customer segments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be located in Southern California, preferably greater Los Angeles or willing to relocate
  • Collaborate with Market Engagement Manager on outreach and coordination with customers
  • Drive continued success with Program Partners
  • Ensure compliance with existing Project Delivery Process
  • Coordinate timely communications between all parties involved in Project Activity
  • Host meetings with stakeholders and key decision makers
  • Collaborate with internal and external project engineering teams
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Candidate must possess 3+ years of experience working in the energy efficiency and/or demand response industry
  • Candidate must have knowledge of current energy efficiency technologies / concepts
  • Candidate must be detail oriented and capable of independent delivery of projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.

Preferred skills, education and experience

  • Experience working with energy efficiency and/or demand response incentive programs is strongly desired

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position.  The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $95,000-115,000.  In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.  The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position.  Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location. 

We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes three weeks of paid vacation per year; paid holidays; a 401(k)-retirement plan with employer matching; health, dental and vision insurance; and other supplemental benefits. 

Employment with Resource Innovations is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check and reference check. If applicable to the position, a pre-employment drug screen may also be required.
