Software Product Designer

We’re looking for a Software Product Designer to help shape the future of our marketing and revenue management platform. You’ll be embedded within our software development team, collaborating closely with software engineers, QA, and project managers to deliver thoughtful, user-centered product experiences. As a key member of the product team, you’ll balance creative exploration with systematic thinking — transforming complex requirements into clear, intuitive interfaces built in Figma.

Key Responsibilities

Design Execution

  • Brainstorm and prototype visual product solutions that align with user needs and business goals.
  • Create high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and supporting assets in Figma.
  • Participate in peer design reviews and ensure all deliverables meet design quality and accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers and QA to ensure design intent is maintained throughout development.

Design Strategy & Systems

  • Participate in design discussions to define UX principles and visual direction across the platform.
  • Maintain and help evolve our Figma-based design system to ensure scalability and visual consistency.
  • Guide decisions around design tools, process improvements, and workflow optimization.
  • Communicate design rationale and direction clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Lead design reviews within the product team, gathering input and building consensus around design decisions.
  • Advocate for user-centered design thinking across the organization, ensuring every feature supports a cohesive user experience.

Team Collaboration

  • This is an on-site role based in our Lincoln, NE office, where you’ll work directly with our software development team in a collaborative, open workspace. You’ll engage daily with engineers, QA, and product managers to align on goals, share feedback, and refine designs in real time.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI or product design, preferably for SaaS platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma (or similar design tool), including component libraries and prototyping features.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design — from concept to shipped experience.
  • Experience collaborating within agile software development environments.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a team-first mindset.

About RentVision

RentVision was founded in 2009, after our Founder and CEO, David Watson, spent multiple weekends hunting for an apartment. After weeks of searching, he signed a lease on a unit he’d never seen. Frustrated by this experience, David believed there had to be a better, easier way to confidently rent an apartment. This sparked the idea for a new innovation—the industry's first Walkthrough Video Tour. RentVision has been innovating, developing, and growing ever since.
