Skills
- Deep experience with Linux and CLI-based network configuration and troubleshooting
- Proven knowledge of wired and wireless networking technologies, switching, and routing
- Ability to design for low latency, high throughput, and operational reliability
- Experience with network monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tuning
- Familiarity working onsite in technical/industrial environments alongside hardware teams
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain high-performance local networks across multiple robotic cells and compute systems
- Collaborate with robotics, ML, and infrastructure teams to support deterministic or low-latency communications
- Configure and manage switches, routers, and wireless access points in experimental and production environments
- Tune network performance for time-sensitive workloads and support time synchronization where required
- Interface with enterprise IT security to ensure compliance while enabling local R&D flexibility
- Perform network-level debugging, monitoring, and diagnostics for production systems
- Document, standardize, and own network architecture and operational procedures
- Scale and adapt the network as new systems and increased data volumes come online
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Continuous learning mindset with ability to apply academic concepts to practical R&D problems
