as a Project Engineer – Supplier Quality and make a direct impact on product performance and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will lead supplier quality initiatives, drive improvements across a diverse supply base, and ensure our products meet the highest standards of reliability. You will partner with suppliers, engineers, and operations to solve problems, improve processes, and enhance quality.
This position requires travel to supplier sites (20–30% domestic and ~5% international).
Specific Responsibilities
Review and approve supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions.
Define quality expectations for suppliers and develop action plans to achieve improvement targets.
Lead investigations of quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
Conduct on-site assessments and qualification activities in partnership with Procurement.
Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to minimize the impact of supplier quality issues.
Manage a diverse supply base of 200+ suppliers across multiple commodities.
Drive continuous improvement to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Identify and qualify opportunities for cost reduction initiatives.
Develop and maintain ISO and process procedures to ensure compliance.
Oversee supplier change management activities for all products.
Prepare and present reports for leadership review.
Collaborate with Aftermarket Parts & Service, Design Engineering, Customer Service, Reliability Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
Minimum 2 years of assembly quality or supplier quality engineering experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Highly self-driven, independent, and able to work with minimal oversight.
Ability to travel 20–30% domestically and ~5% internationally.
Preferences
Experience in SAP, Power BI, Windchill, SPC, and exposure to AI-driven analytics preferred
