Why are unqualified interviewers allowed to tank good candidates??

This is why I record myself giving the presentation now. I don’t trust panels anymore.
so many companies talk about “hiring bar” but don’t train the people running interviews.
I once had a junior engineer argue with me during a coding round. Got rejected, then saw they copied my solution on GitHub weeks later 💀
"Missed a slide"??? They probably weren’t even paying attention. I’d be furious.
it’s wild how one bad panel can ruin everything. like y even bother having a hiring manager if interns are the gatekeepers?
Ugh this happened to me too! Junior interviewers with power but no context is such a mess.
I got rejected from a job I was literally perfect for. Close referral, tons of relevant experience, solid conversation with the hiring manager. Everything was going fine until the case study round run by junior ICs without any oversight.
Not only were they interrupting constantly, but the feedback they gave was just… wrong. Said I missed key points I definitely included, and even claimed I skipped a slide I presented. I pushed back (nicely!) with the recruiter, just to clarify what actually happened but I haven’t heard back since.
