The high level:

In FY26, Reading Partners consolidated the Baltimore and DC regions into one Mid-Atlantic region to strengthen programming and financial sustainability. The Mid-Atlantic will have an Interim Managing Director to support the merging of the two regions through the initial year of the transition.

The Interim Managing Director, Reading Partners Mid-Atlantic (MD), will act as a liaison with the school and D.C. Public School leaders in Washington, D.C. to maintain and enhance Reading Centers in FY26. They will serve as the primary point of contact with the district and support a local Program Manager who manages 12 AmeriCorps members serving the region. In collaboration with the Program Manager, they will work closely with the National Programs team to ensure program fidelity and oversight. The Interim MD will also play a key role in supporting local fundraising efforts to reach the goal of $1.5 million in private funding. They will report to an Executive Director based in Baltimore, MD, and collaborate to manage the integration of the advisory board in this newly imagined regional structure. This is an interim position and it ends on June 30, 2026. The role may be extended pending grant funding.
