Quindar builds modern, cloud-native satellite mission operations software with a simple mission: to operate satellites like servers. Our platform replaces fragmented, legacy ground systems with an integrated, automation-driven approach that brings modern software velocity to space operations.
We're a small, fast-moving team with deep aerospace and software roots, energized by big challenges and motivated by the impact we have on real missions in this next chapter of the Space Age. If you want to work with sharp, ambitious people who push boundaries, move quickly, and are excited to take space operations to the next level, Quindar is the place to do it.
We are seeking a talented and user-centric Product Designer to join our growing design team. As a Product Designer, you will execute on the design strategy for each of our products. You will work closely with the Senior Product Designer and collaborate with product managers, front end engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure our platform includes intuitive, efficient, and scalable designs that serve a diverse set of users, ranging from operations teams to software developers.
Your focus will be on user experience / user interface (UX/UI), ensuring the platform is both easy to use and powerful enough to manage complex satellite and ground systems. A successful candidate will solve problems through experience and spend just as much time understanding the problem as design.
On a given day, you might be: leading a design sprint; creating user journey maps and telling a story to stakeholders; designing a micro-interaction to make a complex analytical task feel simple; and/or advocating for UX consistency by creating flexible, reusable UI components.
Design Execution: Own the end-to-end product design process, creating high-quality UI/UX designs for our web platform. Deliver mockups, wireframes, prototypes, and assets.
User-Centered Design: Live in your user’s shoes. Tell their story from beginning, middle, and end, taking your audience on a journey that engages their problems head on.
User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to deeply understand customer workflows and pain points, ensuring designs are optimized for real-world use.
Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and engineers to translate product vision and requirements into practical, user-centered designs.
Design Alignment: Ensure the visual design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also aligned with our design system, brand guidelines, and user expectations.
Iterative Prototyping & Design: Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts with stakeholders and users, iterating quickly based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
Cross-functional Communication: Effectively communicate design concepts, rationale, and decisions to stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams.
2+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on UX/UI for SaaS platforms. Experience in B2B or mission-critical software design is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to design complex platforms with a focus on simplicity and usability, especially for technical users.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Proficient in tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite, with experience in creating interactive prototypes and conducting user testing.
Passionate about understanding and solving customer problems, particularly in highly technical and mission-critical environments.
Experience working in fast-paced environments, iterating on designs quickly and effectively. What You’ll Be Doing
