QA Test Lead – Contract Role
Job Details
- Pay: $40/hour
- Contract Term: 6 months
- Work Hours: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
- Location: On-site – Tampa, FL 33607

Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with project managers, developers, and analysts to define test strategies aligned with enterprise goals
- Develop and manage detailed test plans, cases, and scripts across functional, integration, regression, performance, and security domains
- Estimate testing efforts and support resource planning and timeline discussions
- Oversee test execution, defect tracking, and resolution using appropriate tools
- Conduct root cause analysis and partner with development teams for timely fixes
- Perform exploratory and ad-hoc testing to uncover edge-case issues
- Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies
- Maintain departmental standards and reporting aligned with IT governance
- Advocate for and support automation testing initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 4–6 years of experience managing QA efforts in IT projects
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or IT management role within a PMO environment
- Proven track record in leading QA for software and SaaS implementations
- Strong analytical skills and deep expertise in testing methodologies
- Experience with test planning, execution, and defect management tools
- Ability to work collaboratively within development teams and across departments
