The Chief Marketing Officer for NAU will be responsible for planning and executing the strategy on national sales, distribution, and marketing strategy. In addition, this leader will set team priorities and guiding adherence to quality metrics to ensure NAU’s risk selection aligns to ensure profitable growth.

Location: Ramsey, MN
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
The salary range for this role is between: $256,000 - $330,000 USD

Your new role:

  • Holds Branch Executives accountable for their region’s performance
  • Set and oversee execution of program strategy by county/state, including working knowledge of fund designation strategy
  •  Set strategy for commissions schedules and specials
  • Oversee agent advisory/expert on industry trends and challenges
  • Coordinate with Finance to optimize diversification and partner with CFO to build/maintain large agent profitability/relationships
  • Partner with COO to modernize workforce ensuring it aligns with strategy/business plan (Claims, IT, Compliance, etc.)
  • Utilize subject matter expertise to continuously improve NAU to develop new business, anticipate market changes, and meet the needs of internal and external customers
  • Provide guidance to branch locations on self-reviews, over-authority, group/division initiatives, agency visitation, quarterly meetings and underwriting initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents and clients by networking internally and externally to promote NAU interests, promoting accuracy and efficiency in processes to provide strong customer support and research and understand market conditions and competitive information
  • Plan and execute on national sales, distribution and marketing strategy, including business planning to ensure profitable growth
  • Utilize subject matter expertise to continuously improve NAU to develop new business, anticipate market changes, and meet the needs of internal and external customers

Work Experience:

  • Relevant experience in a senior or executive leadership position leading teams with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Relevant industry or related experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Crop insurance
  • Insurance underwriting experience
  • Field operations management
  • Experience managing or leading others
  • increasing levels of responsibility

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance. We encourage all candidates to apply, even if their salary expectations fall outside of this range, as we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.
