Pro Mechanical is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer for a position with a local manufacturing company. This is a direct hire position with the company. Job Details:
Design and develop refrigeration systems, including chillers, evaporators, condensers, and piping layouts
· Perform thermal and mechanical calculations to optimize energy efficiency and performance
· Select components and materials based on cost, durability, and manufacturing requirements
· Oversee creation of detailed CAD drawings and schematics for new installations and retrofits
· Collaborate with production and quality teams to integrate systems into workflows
· Support testing and validation of performance under simulated conditions
· Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, UL, CE, EPA, and regulatory standards
· Troubleshoot and enhance existing systems to reduce downtime and improve reliability

- Pay: Salary range is $80,000- $90,000 based on experience
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Travel: Some international and domestic travel required.

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
- · 3-5 years of experience in refrigeration system design within a manufacturing environment
- · Knowledge with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools
- · Strong grasp of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles
- · Familiarity with industrial refrigerants and pressure vessel design
- · Effective project management and documentation skills
- · Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams
- · Preferred knowledge of PLCs and automated control systems
