As we enter commercial operations, we are seeking an experienced procurement engineer to collaborate with design and project management teams to ensure procured items meet project requirements, quality standards, and budgets while managing supplier relationships and contracts.
Responsibilities- Sourcing and evaluation - Research and identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products, prices, and reliability.
- Negotiation and contracts - Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers and manage the resulting contracts.
- Technical expertise - Use engineering knowledge to review technical specifications, ensure compliance with standards, and verify that procured items will meet quality and performance requirements.
- Cost management - Implement cost-control strategies, analyze costs, andidentify opportunities for savings without compromising quality.
- Supplier relationship management - Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable performance and manage any issues that arise.
- Collaboration - Work closely with internal teams like design, production, and project management to align procurement activities with project needs and timelines.
- Process management - Manage the purchasing process, including tracking purchase orders, maintainingrecords, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in procurement or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is required.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Technical understanding of the materials and equipment relevant to the industry.
- Proficiency with procurement software and tools.
- Keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Epicor ERP system
- Familiarity with "3DX" more commonly known as Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform
- Familiarity with quality standards like ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or AS9100.
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
