We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description:

PayPal Data Services, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of PayPal, Inc., seeks MTS 2, Software Engineer in Austin, TX  

Job Duties: Design, develop, and maintain message delivery services leveraging modern cloud technologies. Implement and optimize solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks. Integrate enterprise integration frameworks to enable scalable and efficient message processing. Develop and maintain cloud-native applications following best practices in microservices architecture. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of applications and services. Work with CI/CD pipelines to enable automated deployments and continuous integration. Contribute to authentication and access management solutions, ensuring secure user authentication and authorization. Develop and enhance both backend and frontend components to support full-stack development initiatives. Implement and optimize agentic AI frameworks for intelligent decision-making and automation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and adopt industry best practices. Partial telecommuting may be permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Managing Information Technology or a closely related field plus ten years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

1. Experience with using AI Agents (1 year) 

2. Experience with Kotlin 1.8 and Java 21 (3 years)

3. Experience in Python 3, Java 11, Agile and TDD (Test Driven Development) using Cucumber/Gherkin (7 Years)

4. Experience with Gradle and Maven (7 Years)

5. Experience with JavaScript (7 years)

6. Experience with frontend technologies like Angular/Redux, HTML, CSS (7 years)

7. Experience with Spring Boot, Quarkus, AWS SQS, EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, and Route 53 (3 years)

8. Experience with DevOps, Github, GitLab CI and Datadog (7 Years)

9. Experience with Camel 3.0 (3 years)

10. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and Google Cloud (7 Years) 

11. Experience with OAuth, SAML, JWT (7 years)

12. Experience with SSO (Single Sign-On), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC) (7 years)

13. Experience with MySQL and Memcached (7 years)
