Loved the mission and the idea of transforming healthcare, but the execution didn’t always match. Leadership felt disconnected from the day-to-day realities of the team.

I joined Parsley because I loved the idea of changing the healthcare system and offering something better than the typical rushed doctor visit. The care team is truly dedicated, and the patients really benefit from the model. But behind the scenes, things could feel chaotic. There’s a strong startup culture — lots of passion, but also lots of burnout. The expectations are high, and the resources don’t always match. Communication from leadership was inconsistent, and priorities would change week to week. Still, if you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to feel like your work has purpose, it might be worth it.

Internal employee experience didn’t always reflect the same care of the company's mission. Burnout was common, especially for clinicians. The expectation are high, and it often feels like we are being asked to do more with less. Leadership changes frequently, which leads to a lot of inconsistency in direction and priorities. The company has great potential, but it needs to slow down and invest in its team if it wants to keep good people.
