Overview:
The successful applicant will provide research expertise and leadership in designing and conducting complex interdisciplinary research proposals and projects on sustainability topics; works collaboratively with Ohio State faculty, researchers, and external partners and is recognized as a research expert in energy-land use systems modeling, coupled human-natural systems, and integrated assessment. In addition, contributes to sustainability research strategy at Ohio State through developing data management systems to track research impacts, perform advanced data analytics, and identify new opportunities for interdisciplinary research and teaming. The successful applicant will work on multiple large, complex projects at a time with significant project responsibilities, interfacing with a cross-section of faculty, staff, and research leaders from multiple disciplines and colleges across the university and with external collaborators from academic and non-academic sectors.
Duties:
Works with a high degree of independently on multiple complex projects and proposals in collaboration with Ohio State faculty, Sustainability Institute staff, and external partners to grow transdisciplinary research and secure resources to support this research on sustainability challenges facing Ohio relating to energy, land use, water, and agricultural systems and the health and well-being of people and communities.
Lead the development of integrated assessment models and tools to guide practical solutions that enhance the efficiency of U.S. Midwest agricultural, energy, and water systems.
Develop data management systems and perform data analysis and modeling to catalyze and grow interdisciplinary research teams affiliated with the Sustainability Institute.

The pay range for this job profile is $75,700 - $98,900. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on multiple factors including internal equity, unit’s
available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
