We're looking for a Staff Data Engineer to Lead the design and implementation of scalable data infrastructure that powers analytics and insights for millions of NFT transactions and digital asset activities.
This role sits at the intersection of blockchain analytics and massive-scale data engineering, where you'll architect the data backbone that powers insights for one of the most prominent platforms in web3.
Responsibilities
Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines for processing blockchain and digital asset data at scale
Create and maintain business critical dashboards across revenue & monitoring use-cases
Develop robust ETL processes using SQL to transform raw data into analytics-ready tables Implement data modeling solutions for complex domains like NFTs, including metadata, ownership, and analytics
Build and maintain CDC (Change Data Capture) solutions to synchronize data between MongoDB, Postgres, Kafka, Confluent, and Snowflake
Configure and maintain data streaming solutions for real-time data processing
Set up and manage automated scheduling systems for data transformation tasks
Implement data governance and security controls, including role-based access management
Optimize and configure multi-cluster Snowflake data warehouses for concurrent query handling
Desired Experience
Expert-level proficiency in SQL and modern data stack technologies
Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar data warehousing tools, including multi-cluster warehouse configuration and optimization
Strong background in CDC solutions and real-time data streaming (Kafka, Confluent)
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MongoDB)
Proven track record building ETL/ELT pipelines that process terabytes of data daily
Understanding of blockchain/NFT data structures and metadata standards
Experience implementing data governance, security controls, and access management
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
High ownership mentality
AI-forward mindset with hands-on experience adopting and integrating AI tools
The base salary for this full-time position, which spans across multiple internal levels depending on qualifications, ranges between $180,000 to $270,000 plus benefits & equity.
