Senior Machine Learning Engineer
Skills
- 5+ years building and shipping production ML solutions at scale
- Strong Python proficiency and experience with ML libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch)
- Experience with large-scale data processing and complex SQL
- Familiarity with cloud ML infrastructure and MLOps tooling (AWS, Docker, CI/CD, model monitoring)
- Practical knowledge of NLP and large language models
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade ML models and LLM-powered agents for clinical research use cases (patient recruitment, enrollment forecasting, study feasibility).
- Implement end-to-end ML pipelines from data ingestion and feature engineering to model serving, monitoring, and CI/CD automation.
- Leverage cloud services and MLOps best practices (AWS, containers, automated testing, monitoring/data-drift detection) to ensure reliable, scalable deployments.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, designers, and domain experts to integrate AI features into the StudyTeam platform.
- Extend and maintain the AI knowledge base architecture and prototype experimental approaches for production adoption.
- Continuously evaluate, iterate on, and document models and pipelines; ensure reproducibility, fairness, and robustness in production.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a quantitative field is preferred but not required
