ESG Controllership Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Integrity and Accuracy: Ensure the completeness and accuracy of ESG data collected from various sources, including internal departments and external partners.
- Financial Reporting: Integrate ESG data into financial reporting processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Compliance and Assurance: Support the development and implementation of internal controls and assurance processes for ESG data and reporting.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with sustainability, finance, and other relevant teams to gather and validate ESG data.
- Benchmarking and Analysis: Conduct benchmarking and trend analysis to track progress against ESG targets and identify areas for improvement.
- Policy and Regulation Monitoring: Stay informed about relevant environmental regulations, standards, and best practices related to ESG reporting and controllership.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving data collection processes, reporting accuracy, and overall ESG management practices.
- Training and Education: Educate employees and stakeholders on ESG data management and reporting requirements through training sessions, workshops, and communication materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Experience in ESG reporting, financial reporting, or a related field.
- Understanding of ESG reporting frameworks and standards preferred (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental change.
