Skills
- Experience designing and implementing UI automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Robot Framework)
- Proven API testing and automation skills (Postman, REST Assured, Supertest, or custom frameworks)
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java for automation development
- Experience with React and Next.js applications
- Database validation experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
- Familiarity integrating tests into CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills across the full stack
- Good communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing
- Develop and execute automated test suites for web applications built with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Implement API automation and validation for RESTful services and edge-case scenarios
- Perform backend and database validations using MongoDB and PostgreSQL to ensure data consistency
- Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to promote shift-left testing, testability, and quality gates
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and fast feedback
- Create reusable test utilities, fixtures, and libraries to improve maintainability and coverage
- Participate in architecture and design reviews to identify quality risks and define test strategies early
- Troubleshoot failures across UI, API, and backend layers, isolate root causes, and drive defect resolution
- Maintain clear test documentation, including test plans, automation strategies, and coverage reports
Education
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Relevant certifications or coursework in software testing/QA are a plus
