Primary Function

The Sr Software Application Developer is responsible for building and supporting a variety of applications, primarily utilizing the .NET Framework and design patterns, as part of an expanding application development team for a rapidly growing company and sharing their knowledge and watching junior team members grow and flourish.

Principal Duties

• Design, Develop and maintain high-quality software primarily using C#, .NET framework, Angular and MS SQL Server
• Participate in the full software development life cycle, from design to deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including members of the product team, quality assurance, and other developers
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code, following established best practices and coding standards.
• Debug and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
• Mentor and guide junior developers to improve their skills and knowledge of .NET development
• Keep up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in software engineering and support constant improvement
• Participate in code review sessions to ensure code quality and maintainability
• Create and maintain documentation for software development projects, including design, technical specifications and implementation plans
• Communicate project status and progress updates to stakeholders, including senior management
• Achieve and/or support company performance goals
• Take part in continuous training in company policies/procedures and industry regulations
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor
   

Education and Experience Requirements  

• 5-7 years of related experience
• Experience with agile methodologies a plus
• Experience with the following languages and using below concepts:
• C#
• .NET Framework
• MS SQL Server
• Triggers and Stored Procedures
• Angular
• JavaScript
• Experience developing and consuming services
• Experience utilizing Git in a shared development environment
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops as a project lifecycle management, development, and defect tracking tool

• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Desire to develop in an agile environment
• Knowledge of mortgage servicing a plus
