- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Comfort working in environments with potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
Responsibilities
- Provide OR subject-matter expertise and case coverage during preclinical animal studies and human clinical surgeries
- Ensure strict aseptic technique and enforce OR safety protocols
- Review surgery protocols pre-op and anticipate procedural needs for the surgical team
- Collect and compile surgical and procedural data for engineering and preclinical analysis
- Collaborate with surgeons, hospital staff, and cross-functional teams to support clinical trial cases
- Maintain and prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Complete end-of-day procedures including instrument cleaning, restocking, and case cart preparation
- Provide end-user feedback to design engineers during design reviews
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Relevant perioperative/OR training or certification
