We produce and distribute premier filmed entertainment and programming through Universal Filmed Entertainment Group and Universal Studio Group, and have world-renowned theme parks and attractions through Universal Destinations & Experiences. NBCUniversal is a subsidiary of Comcast Corporation.

Our impact is rooted in improving the communities where our employees, customers, and audiences live and work. We have a rich tradition of giving back and ensuring our employees have the opportunity to serve their communities. We champion an inclusive culture and strive to attract and develop a talented workforce to create and deliver a wide range of content reflecting our world.

Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

The Media Group at NBCU supports a powerhouse collection of consumer-first brands including Peacock, NBC, Bravo, NBC Sports, and NBCU International. With unequalled scale, our teams make the most out of every opportunity to collaborate and learn from one another. We’re always looking for ways to innovate faster, accelerate our growth and consistently offer the very best in consumer experience. But most of all, we’re backed by a culture of respect. We embrace authenticity and inspire people to thrive.

This role sits within the NBCU Media Group’s Decision Sciences team and will lead the development of data and reporting solutions that power performance measurement for NBCUniversal’s distribution partnerships. The Manager will be responsible for defining and driving the reporting and measurement needs tied to both new and existing distribution partner integrations—enabling (1) automated, reliable reporting and (2) actionable analytics to inform strategic decisions.

A core part of this role is becoming a subject matter expert on distribution data availability and subscriber performance measurement. This role blends analytics, data product thinking, and cross-functional leadership to deliver trusted reporting for one of NBCUniversal’s most strategic business areas. The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying and resolving reporting gaps, ensuring accuracy and consistency across outputs that support internal stakeholders and business partners.

The Manager will focus on driving strategic reporting priorities and leading cross-functional efforts, while overseeing a Senior Analyst who owns the day-to-day execution of reporting and analytical workflows. This is a highly collaborative role with significant exposure to data engineering, product, technology and business stakeholders, as well as analytics peers. Success will require strong leadership, technical fluency, and the ability to translate complex reporting needs into solutions that directly support NBCUniversal’s distribution strategy.

Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a skills assessment.

Day-to-day:

  • Develop a deep understanding of NBCU distribution deal constructs to inform performance measurement and guide reporting needs
  • Define reporting requirements and data/measurement needs for new distribution launches, aligning with cross-functional analytics and data teams
  • Collaborate with data, product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate launch requirements into accurate, automated reporting solutions
  • Identify and investigate data or reporting issues in existing distribution integrations; assess root causes, size business impact, and drive cross-functional resolution
  • Continuously evolve reporting infrastructure, identifying opportunities to improve performance visibility, automate manual processes, and enhance user access to key metrics
  • Manage and mentor a Senior Analyst who owns the day-to-day execution of reporting builds, QA processes, and analytical support, while you lead strategic initiatives and cross-team alignment
  • Write and manage engineering tickets as needed, clearly articulating business and technical requirements
  • Query and analyze complex data sets to support reporting, troubleshoot issues, and deliver insights that inform strategic decisions

Qualifications

What You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics, measurement, data product management or a related role, ideally in a direct-to-consumer, media, or technology environment
  • 2+ years of analytical experience working with large, complex data sets and analytical tools
  • Demonstrated experience translating business questions into data solutions and measurement frameworks
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau); familiarity with additional programming languages (Python, R) is a plus
  • Experience working with large-scale data sets and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and influence decision-making
  • Experience mentoring or managing analysts or junior team members
  • High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree; preferred in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science)

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
