Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary (finger) sticks and verify patient identity and test requisitions
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the designated Patient Service Center, including scheduling and staffing
- Manage specimen collection, tracking, labeling, chain-of-custody, and quality-control logs
- Report KPIs and escalate quality or regulatory issues (SPI, CAPA, NCR) to product management leadership
- Onboard, train, and retrain phlebotomy staff as needed to support volume and quality goals
- Manage PSC vendors, supply inventory, and occasional reimbursable travel for stocking supplies
- Resolve unusual or discrepant test orders by coordinating with physicians, labs, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA/PHI, state regulations, and company policies and procedures
- Maintain and manage phlebotomy equipment and safely handle supplies (may require lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Monitor customer feedback, manage small escalations, and maintain open communication on draw statuses
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Phlebotomy certification or equivalent (preferred; required where state-mandated)
- BS/BA degree preferred but not required
