Join the Sui Core team at Mysten Labs, where you'll be at the forefront of building the Sui blockchain's infrastructure. Our team is dedicated to developing the software that powers Sui's validators and full nodes. As a part of this team, you'll be responsible for the safety-critical core of the Sui network. Our goals are to continually make the core Sui protocol more useful to builders while maintaining very high standards for safety and reliability.

We're seeking a Senior Engineer with a passion for systems programming in all its forms, from storage systems, to distributed systems, to low-level performance optimization. Your role will involve enhancing the performance and reliability of the Sui blockchain infrastructure, contributing to the core protocol design, and ensuring secure and efficient network operations. You will be a key player in evolving our blockchain technology to meet the growing demands of the ecosystem.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain the core blockchain network software that powers Sui's validators and full nodes.

• Work closely with the cryptography and security teams to keep the Sui network secure.

• Optimize existing systems for scalability, efficiency, and reliability.

• Collaborate with other teams at Mysten Labs to integrate new features and technologies.

What You’ll Have:

• 5+ years of experience in systems and network programming, ideally in C++ or Rust.

• Experience designing and operating systems in one or more of the following areas: Distributed systems and consensus protocols, storage/database systems, high performance systems, networking protocols, or programming language and compilers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proven ability to drive complex projects to completion.

Nice To Have:

• Experience with Rust or similar systems programming languages.

• Previous work on blockchain technology or cryptographic protocols.

• Significant contributions to open source projects.
