Position Summary
The Section Supervisor – ASCP Medical Technologist is accountable for day-to-day patient testing activities within one defined work area. Plans, coordinates, and directs testing activities to assure sufficient quantities of supplies, reagents, and qualified staff are available to meet the standards of care as appropriate for the age of the patients served in a cost effective manner. Works with the manager and director to assure compliance with all regulatory agencies. May be responsible for the overall activities of the laboratory in the absence of the Core Supervisor (Weekends, Holidays, 2nd /3rd shift).QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree that meets CLIA requirements for testing personnel required.
Experience: Minimum of three years of experience as a medical technologist in a clinical laboratory setting required. Minimum of one year of experience in assigned Clinical Lab area. Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Registered Medical Technologist (ASCP) or equivalent required. Washington State (DOH) Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist required if collecting blood.

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $38.00 - $54.68 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.Associated benefit information can be viewed here.
