Collaborate with business and product partners to understand business problems. Analyze business data to formulate appropriate data models. Participate in data system architecture and design discussions. Develop software solutions in a lean-agile methodology. Create technical documentation for the product. Develop code to manage high volumes of data. Derive solutions data integration engineers using various ETL tools. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week.
Salary:
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $157000 and $157000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Software Developer, Software Application Developer, or a related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience with: formulating data models; Java; ETL tools including: Informatica, Datastage, Python and Spark; RDBMS systems including: Oracle, MS-SQL and Teradata; handling Big Data in systems including: Hadoop, HDFS, and Hive; Agile methodologies; Shell scripts; Python scripts; PySpark scripts; and ETL tools including: Python, and Database SQL.
