Reporting to the Assistant Director of Recreation & Wellness-Intramurals & Club Sports works as directed, with the Director of Campus Recreation & Wellness and the Assistant Director of Recreation & Wellness- Intramurals & Club Sports to cultivate a sustainable club baseball program at Mount St. Mary’s University. This position ensures the program works within University rules and regulations along with the Office of Recreation & Wellness’s policies and procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit new students into the club baseball program each year, maintaining a minimum roster of 24 players
- Responsible for creating and facilitating team practices
- Schedule games in accordance with conference regulations
- Manage ALL Home and Away competitions
- Fundraise a portion of the total operating budget.
- Foster a culture for learning and growth both on and off the baseball field
- Must attend department trainings and meetings throughout the semester
- Manage all gear and equipment distributions
- Oversee and maintain the club baseball budget
- Ensure all necessary forms are submitted in a timely manner
- Must have good communication skills
- Attend check in meetings with supervisor/department upon request
Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Successful prior coaching and/or collegiate playing experience desired.
- Review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
