We’re committed to meeting people with diabetes where they are in their journey, always with an aim to make their lives easier. Our portfolio of innovative solutions are designed to provide customers greater freedom and better health, helping them achieve better glucose control, while spending less time managing their disease.

Cardiovascular Portfolio:

  • Cardiac Ablation Solutions: Cardiac Ablation Solutions offers cardiac mapping and ablation solutions to treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms. Our vision is to help patients worldwide by advancing innovation for the diagnosis and ablation of cardiac arrhythmias, enabling clinicians to perform procedures with superior outcomes.
  • Cardiac Rhythm Management: Our Cardiac Rhythm Management Integrated Operating Unit offers devices and therapies that treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms and heart failure. We are comprised of four key businesses: Cardiac Pacing Therapies, Defibrillation Solutions, Patient Management, and Procedure Innovations. Together, we will transform the lives of people with cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure.
  • Cardiac Surgery: Cardiac surgery represents end stage treatment in the care continuum for many cardiovascular diseases and this OU provides an intimate relationship with the Cardiac Surgeon and Cardiac OR by offering an unparalleled depth and breadth of portfolio.
  • Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Services: Cardiovascular Diagnostics and Services develops advanced technologies to make it possible for doctors to get vital information about their patients' hearts without it interrupting their lives. Our best-in-class insertable cardiac monitors, or ICMs, help identify or rule out heart rhythm disorders, so patients can then receive the right course of treatment and best manage their condition.
  • Coronary and Renal Denervation: In CRDN, we love what we do. That's because we're passionate about the patients we serve around the globe and the "second life" and improved health we can give to those with Coronary Artery Disease, High Blood Pressure, and other conditions. We're also driven by the promise of Renal Denervation and its potential to change the way patients around the world manage their uncontrolled hypertension.
  • Mechanical Circulatory Support: The Mechanical Circulatory Support Operating Unit is responsible for Medtronic’s heart pump program. Called the HeartWare™ HVAD™ System, this business provides a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) that helps patients’ hearts pump and increases the amount of blood that circulates through their bodies. The HVAD System features the world's smallest, commercially available, centrifugal flow pump.
  • Structural Heart and Aortic: The Structural Heart and Aortic integrated operating unit offers minimally-invasive approaches to restore proper structure and function of the heart and the aorta. We focus on the transcatheter replacement or repair of the four heart valves—aortic, pulmonic, mitral, tricuspid—and the placement of stent grafts to treat aneurysms and dissections of the body’s largest artery, the aorta.
  • Peripheral Vascular Health: Peripheral Vascular Health therapies treat patients with Peripheral and Carotid Artery Disease, End-Stage Renal Disease, Superficial and Deep Venous Diseases, and a variety of conditions treated with Peripheral Embolization. The operating unit leads the way in the Superficial Venous, Deep Venous Stenting, and Drug-Coated Balloon markets, caring for nearly 1 million patients globally with lifesaving and life-enhancing therapies.

Neuroscience Portfolio:

  • Cranial and Spinal Technologies: Part of the Neuroscience portfolio, CST is comprised of four global businesses: Spine & Biologics, Enabling Technologies, intelligent Data Solutions (iDS), and China Cranial, Spinal, Orthopedics & Technologies.
    •    Spine & Biologics, offers procedural solutions for spine surgery, and bone grafting solutions for spinal fusion.
    •    Enabling Technologies, delivers an innovative portfolio which include robotics, navigation, intra-operative imaging, advanced energy devices, cerebral spinal fluid management and critical care.
    •    intelligent Data Solutions (iDS), with Medicrea as the foundation, is revolutionizing the standard of care for personalized spine surgery using data science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) so all spine surgeons can provide predictable and reproducible patient outcomes.
    •    China Cranial, Spinal, Orthopedics & Technologies, provides solutions in spine surgery, neurosurgery, surgical synergies, biologics, and orthopedics.
  • Ear Nose and Throat: The Ear, Nose, and Throat Operating Unit is a global leader and trusted partner for innovative ENT solutions that improve patient access, outcomes, and customer satisfaction. We partner with the ENT community to understand the needs of customers and patients, delivering solutions that improve lives as we embody a culture of accountability and trust. Over the past 20 years, we have become the global market leader in three key segments – image-guided surgery, intraoperative nerve monitoring, and powered surgical instruments. We continue to launch valuable ENT solutions in these areas as well as tissue health and balloon sinus dilation.
  • Neuromodulation: Medtronic pioneered the field of neuromodulation with the first commercially available spinal cord stimulator to treat chronic pain and engineered the first deep brain stimulation (DBS) system to treat movement disorders and the first implantable drug pump to deliver medication directly to the intrathecal space of the spine. More than 40 years later, we continue to innovate, constantly challenging ourselves to disrupt the markets we created. We advance science by thinking and acting boldly, bringing together the right people with the right breadth of expertise to engineer groundbreaking therapies and technologies.
  • Neurovascular: The Neurovascular Operating Unit provides a comprehensive portfolio of proven, powerful neurovascular technologies, setting the highest standards of integrity and reliability in Acute Ischemic and Hemorrhagic Stroke Care.
  • Pelvic Health: Pelvic Health is part of the Neuroscience Portfolio. Our therapies treat patients suffering from overactive bladder, non-obstructive urinary retention and fecal incontinence with our sacral neuromodulation (SNM) systems InterStim X™ and InterStim™ Micro; and our percutaneous tibial neuromodulation (PTNM) system NURO™. More than 400 million people worldwide have incontinence, and many of them limit their lives socially, professionally and personally because of their condition. Our goal is to expand access to our therapies so we can help potentially millions of people get their lives back.

Medical Surgical Portfolio: The Medical Surgical Portfolio strives to enable earlier diagnosis, better treatment, faster complication-free recovery, and enhanced patient outcomes through less invasive surgical solutions.

  • Gastrointestinal: The Gastrointestinal Operating Unit has created a business out of disrupting the status quo in the detection, prevention, and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers and chronic diseases. We’ve done this by commercializing transformational technologies that improve patient management and standards of care, while increasing access to our innovations across the globe.
  • Patient Monitoring: Medtronic is working together with the global healthcare community to solve clinically meaningful problems, with technologies and solutions for blood oxygen management, respiratory compromise, and perioperative complications.
  • Respiratory Interventions: While the global crisis develops daily, our purpose remains the same: To prevent the onset and improve the management of respiratory failure. This guiding principle has enabled us to support patients and clinicians, while creating new opportunities for growth.
  • Surgical: Our Surgical OU is one new, powerful operating unit bringing together the people and product portfolio of Surgical Innovations and Surgical Robotics. We'll approach the market with a unified approach from concept single strategy, capitalize on our global commercial capabilities, and prove the power of our combined portfolio.

With the Medtronic Mission as our North Star, we will build on our legacy of proven surgical solutions and advance the promise of robotics and digital solutions for the benefit of Medtronic and the customers and patients we serve.

Together, we can change healthcare worldwide. At Medtronic, we push the limits of what technology, therapies and services can do to help alleviate pain, restore health and extend life. We challenge ourselves and each other to make tomorrow better than yesterday. It is what makes this an exciting and rewarding place to be.

We want to accelerate and advance our ability to create meaningful innovations
